PAIDHA, ZOMBO — Youth undergoing skills training at Life Concern Skills Development Centre are today undertaking a national assessment conducted by the government technical examining body.

The assessment is aimed at evaluating the learners’ practical skills, knowledge and competencies acquired during their technical and vocational training.

The exercise brings together trainees undertaking various skills programmes as they take an important step toward certification and preparation for the workplace, entrepreneurship and further skills development.

Technical and vocational education continues to provide young people with practical competencies that can support employment, self-reliance and community development.

The ongoing assessment also highlights the growing role of skills development institutions in preparing young people to participate meaningfully in Uganda’s social and economic development.
