ZOMBO PLU SUPPORTERS ENDORSE GEN. MUHOOZI KAINERUGABA FOR 2031

 ZOMBO DISTRICT — Members and supporters of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) in Zombo District have expressed their support for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for President in 2031.



The endorsement was symbolically presented through an endorsement book be

aring the message of support for Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba. PLU representatives were pictured handing over and displaying the book during a gathering attended by supporters and other community stakeholders.

The exercise forms part of grassroots mobilisation and endorsement activities through which PLU members are expressing their political support and engaging communities.

The gathering also provided an opportunity for PLU supporters to interact with different stakeholders while reaffirming their commitment to the organisation's political activities and mobilisation agenda.

The endorsement book is expected to serve as a record of support from members participating in the exercise, reflecting their expressed backing for Gen. Muhoozi's political aspirations towards 2031.

The Zombo activity adds to the growing political mobilisation around Gen. Muhoozi as supporters continue to organise and engage communities at the grassroots.

 The Zombo District LCV Chairman was reportedly involved in a road accident near Migera in Masindi while returning from Kampala. Preliminary information indicates that the Chairman and his driver survived the crash without apparent injuries. These details have not yet been independently verified. GOVERNMENT OFFICERS ON INTERDICTION TO REMAIN OUT OF OFFICE UNTIL CRIMINAL CASES CONCLUDE — ATTORNEY GENERAL

 KAMPALA | 28 SEPTEMBER 2026 The Attorney General’s Chambers has issued guidance on the status of public officers and civil servants who remain under interdiction while undergoing criminal prosecution, including cases where the initial six-month period of interdiction has expired. In a letter dated 25 September 2026 and addressed to all Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers and Chief Administrative Officers, the Attorney General refers to Regulation 38 of the Public Service Commission Regulations, 2009, which provides for the interdiction of public officers in circumstances including disciplinary proceedings or criminal prosecution. According to the legal opinion contained in the letter, a public officer who is still undergoing criminal prosecution continues to remain under interdiction until the prosecution is concluded and results in the officer’s acquittal.
